New Mexico 2014

After taking the trip through southern Utah in 2013, Stella and I caught the 'desert bug' and fell in love with the southwest. As a lifelong New Yorker, most of that in NYC, seeing the National Parks in Utah was like visiting my planet for the first time. Eager to get back out west, we booked a two week trip through New Mexico in the summer of 2014.
We traveled up and down the state, hitting Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Taos, Roswell, Lincoln, Ruidoso, Carlsbad, White Sands, and Socorro. Along the way visiting diverse destinations including Sandia Peak, Breaking Bad filming locations, ancient Native American pueblos, old Western filming locations, an animal sanctuary, petroglyphs, UFO spots, the Silent Tongue filming location, and a trek through the caverns of Carlsbad. |
