On April 24th, 1964 police officer Lonnie Zamora witnessed a landed oval-shaped UFO in the desert with two beings nearby. The craft quickly departed, leaving behind burned bushes and four imprints in the dirt where landing legs had touched down.
It is considered one of the best-documented sightings in UFO history, with ample physical trace evidence. The case was investigated by military officers, the FBI, and Dr. J. Allen Hynek, who was a consultant for the Air Force's Project Blue Book. It remains officially listed as "Unidentified". Fifty years (and 71 days) later I visited the site. The rocks circling the landing-pad imprints are still there.
