Homestead

The last half of our trip we stayed at the Lazy C Homestead located outside the city limits of Tucson on three and a half acres of desert land surrounded by Saguaro cacti and numerous forms of wildlife. While we were there we saw many Woodpeckers, Quail, Javelinas, and for the first time a Coyote, a Tarantula and a Rattlesnake. The owner had a horse stable on the property and since I had worked at an old stable near Central Park in the early 90's I got the chance to do some grooming and stall mucking over a couple days, which was a welcome treat.
